Rooted in Christian faith, we are committed to honoring and uplifting our elders, allowing them to live with dignity and grace.
About us
JABES, Jatniël Elderly Care was established to ensure that all those who have dedicated their lives to the LORD can be well cared for into their last days. We specifically focus on older individuals aged 60 and over.
At Jabes we understand that our older generations experience uncertainty and fear about the future, and their health and we aim to provide a support framework for our elderly to help them allay these fears and uncertainties.
Our goal is to enable older people to live and function in their home environment for as long as possible by creating a space where they feel safe and can still contribute to their surroundings, thereby fulfilling their purpose.
We provide a variety of care services to the older residents of Jatniel, including:
- A lift service to town
- Assistance in drawing their SASSA pensions
- Organising social outings
- Home visits
- Offering support where needed
- Art classes – painting, tin art, and mosaic
- Stretching and breathing exercises
- Outdoor sports games – lawn darts, golf, and bowls
- Bible quizzes and games
- Community projects – knitting/crocheting items

JABES aims to provide a service that prepares our elderly to enjoy a comfortable retirement by means of a service centre which will provide essential services to older people. The main goal will be to promote the rights of the elderly, prevent abuse (in any form), BUT above all, to empower older people with knowledge and skills allowing them to age with security and dignity.
